Wesley Andrew Turnbull

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Wesley Andrew Turnbull on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

Wesley leaves to mourn his most cherished and loved daughter, Tracy Lynne; sisters, Connie, Kathryn, Karen and Lee-Ann.

Wesley overcame many obstacles in his life, and we are so proud of him. We love you so much Wes, See you on the other side.

An excerpt from The Calgary Dream Centre – My Story - Wesley

“Because of the Calgary Dream Centre, I have been transformed. I started socially drinking at the age of 24 with my friends. Over time the drinking became a daily occurrence. I had two bad accidents that left me severely injured so I couldn't work. I was receiving financial supports due to my injuries and, with nothing but time on my hands my drinking continued to progress.

I got sick of the way I was living and wanted more in my life than just drinking and lying around. I went to detox and there I heard about the Calgary Dream Centre. I started the Addictions Recovery Program here on November 1, 2014. The chapels in the program were really what transformed me. Only because of the Dream Centre have I really started to include God in my life, and today I am a new man.

I graduated from the program on December 19 and decided to stick around. Living in the Transitional Housing Program has been very helpful for my recovery. This place keeps me safe from the atmosphere of drinking while surrounding me with wonderful community.”
