We are sad and mourn the loss of our father and brother Wesley Skoretz. Born on September 6, 1956, in Buchanan Saskatchewan.
Wes loved the family farm and helping his dad. At the age of eight, he was driving the old (John Deere) Tractor. Because of this, he loved operating heavy-duty machinery. He graduated from Buchanan High school. Wes always had an easy laugh and had a following of friends. He married Sonia Diakow in December 1976 and made their home in Edmonton, Alberta. In 1977 they became the proud parents of their first son Cory, and two years later their second son Adrian. Eventually Sonia and Wesley parted ways and Wesley married Pat Farnham in July 1998, and made their home in Red Deer, Alberta.
Wesley was a proud member of Local Union #955. Wesley was predeceased by his loving Mother Katie Olynick in 1969, Brother Lyle Skoretz in 2016 and Father Mike Skoretz in 2024. Wesley is survived by his sons Cory and Adrian Skoretz, Sister Dianne Anderson, Brother Don Skoretz, Sister Shirleen Butcher, and Stepmother Shirley. Wesley had an easy smile and a generous spirit. He will always be loved and forever remembered. Rest in peace, Wesley. Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for this Summer in Buchanan, Saskatchewan, where Wes will be laid to rest.
