It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tyrone Lorne Pye on June 22, 2026, at the age of 52.
For much of his life, Tyrone faced more than his fair share of battles with cancer. Time and time again, he met those challenges head-on with determination, stubbornness, and the same sarcastic sense of humor that became one of his trademarks. Cancer may have been a part of his story, but it never defined who he was.
He was strong, loyal, hardworking, and always willing to help when someone needed him. He built lasting friendships, cherished family traditions, and created memories that those who loved him will carry forever.
Tyrone leaves behind his beloved wife, Nicole; his daughter, Alyssa (Jordon); his parents, Mary & Lorne; his siblings, Lorna (Chris) & Deitra (Derek); his mother-in-law Leah; his brother-in-law Dale; his nieces and nephews Alexis (James), Dylan, Danielle, Chloe, Drake & Donovan; his great-nieces and great-nephew Ivy, Vanessa & Austin, and other family members and friends who will miss his laugh, his wisdom, and yes—even his sarcasm.
While our hearts are broken by his loss, we are grateful for the years, memories, and laughter we shared with him. His impact on our lives will never be forgotten, and his stories will continue to be told around family tables for years to come.
Thank you to the staff at Arthur J.E. Child cancer center and the Palliative care team.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tyrone’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Tyrone will be deeply missed, but he fought hard, loved deeply, laughed often, and left us with memories we will treasure forever.
