Thomas Edward Seery

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Edward Seery on April 15, 2022. Tom is lovingly remembered by his wife Donna; daughter Laina; and siblings Anne (Jacques), Bob (Colleen), Michael (Lili), Jonn (Jassandra), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives.

He was born in Montreal on December 29, 1957, to John and Evelyn and moved to Calgary with his family when he was eleven. He was a talented welder and had a successful career in that field spanning many years.

Tom felt most free riding his Harley. He loved to ride through the Rocky Mountains, or the rolling hills and river valleys of the Foothills. He also had a passion for music and spent many evenings seeing local musicians and dancing with Donna and their large group of close friends. He especially enjoyed carefully curating mixed tapes and CDs as thoughtful gifts.

He was a kind, selfless person who was always helping others and brightening their day with his dry sense of humour. He brought integrity to all of his relationships, and his ability to make connections with others and put everyone at ease was something that was noticed by many.

Tom was a devoted and loving father, partner, brother, and friend. He will be profoundly missed by all who met him.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Justin Chun for his dedication and kindness throughout Tom's treatment.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to CKUA Radio Network.
