Teresa Jean Pastor

Teresa Jean Pastor, age 72, of Calgary, AB passed away on September 14th, 2025, at Newport Harbour Seniors Community.

Terry was born on November 21, 1952, in Vancouver, BC to Edna and Geoff Horner. She was the youngest of 5 (Don, Doug, Ed & Russ). Her childhood years were spent in Prince Rupert before moving to Nelson for high school. She met the love of her life Stewart there and they moved to Alberta in the 70s.

Terry was known for her kindness, sense of humor, strength and devotion to her family. She worked for more than 30 years at Carpet Supermarket, where she led the accounting team. Terry was an avid walker with Rex always by her side.

She enjoyed sewing and spent hours working on various projects. Several of which were with her own mother. She loved travelling and cruised with her mom for several years seeing many parts of the world and later travelled with Nicole’s family to Mexico for a number of years. Terry’s life was defined by her commitment to family. She will be remembered by her grandchildren for the weekly dinners and movie nights.

Terry is survived by her daughters Nicole (Stephen) Klausen and Ashley Pastor (Mike Paynter), grandchildren Bella Miklos, Ellie Miklos, Lex Klausen and Lily Froland, and a great grandchild expected in December. She is preceded in death by her husband Stewart.

A memorial service will be held on October 5th at 2pm, at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (3625 12 Street NE) with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Parkinson’s Alberta in Terry’s memory.
