Tara Farkas

If being kindhearted could keep you alive forever, Tara Farkas would still be with us.

Tara was born May 22, 1988, and grew up in Gleichen Alberta with her mother, father, and older sister, Lacey Blanchard. It was a small town and the two of them played on and explored every inch of it.

She leaves behind two beautiful daughters who love her more than anything in the world, Emilia, age 14, was always excited to make crafts with her and go on destination-less car rides, and Talia age 9, who loves her "Mommy Daughter" dates when they would drink Boba and shop at Dollarama; father Jim Farkas, who is enjoying living out his retirement on the coast of British Columbia with his loving partner, Diane; Auntie Maxine and Uncle Marco, who loved and supported Tara unconditionally in her times of need, especially since the passing of her mother, Evelyn Farkas; sister Lacey, who lives in Red Deer and has a busy life raising her four amazing children that Tara adored very much.

Tara's absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but her kindhearted willingness to help others and genuine friendliness will echo in all the lives she touched and will live on in her children's hearts.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services 5502 2nd Street SW at 3:00 pm.
