It is with profound sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Sylvia; wife, mother, grandmother, sister and best friend.
Sylvia leaves behind her loving husband of sixty-one years, Harold James (Jim) English, their three children; Laurie Leuschner, Jeffery English and his wife Maureen, Douglas English; her three precious grandchildren; Madison Ariel, Kennedy Delaney and Pierce Peter; as well as her “SuperDog” Luke, Alvin and Rex.
Sylvia is also survived by her brother; Paul White (Pat) and family of Burlington, Ontario; and her sister Karen Smith (Ralph) and family of Woodstock, Ontario.
Sylvia was born and raised in Penetanguishene, Ontario and after her marriage to Jim, they made their adventure westward as they built their family, settling finally in Calgary.
Sylvia made many life long friends throughout her journey and was always loyal to her convictions. Her talents were many and she was always there to lend a hand or comfort anyone who needed her.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Wickramasekara (Dr. Nim), Kelsey, Dallas and all the staff of Unit 78 at the South Health Campus hospital for their personal care and attention afforded to both Sylvia and her entire family.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to AARCS (Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society) at www.aarcs.ca in Sylvia’s name.
