Susan Edith McKay

Susan Edith McKay of Calgary Alberta passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2025, surrounded by her family. Susie was 82 years of age and fought bravely with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born November 23rd, 1942. Susie was the beloved daughter of Jean and Ross McKay. She is survived by her sister Mary Jane Pogue, daughter Jennifer Booker (Steve Booker), son Robbie Joyce (Rhonda Craats), and grandchildren, Aidan, Sydney, Tristan and Penny. Susie was predeceased by her husband Robert Haining.

Susie graduated from Western Canada High School and then worked at the Court house for many years. She then went on to be the office manager at Graymor Coffee company. She loved to garden and take long walks in her neighbourhood of Elbow Park. Susie loved to travel and had many holidays in Las Vegas, but she loved most of all spending time in Wasa Lake BC with her grandchildren.

Susie was a gracious  and kind person and even through her dementia, she was loving and sweet. She always encouraged others around her and always had nice things to say. She will live on forever in our hearts.
