It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Hooper (Jackson) on October 31, 2025, at the age of 80.
Born on April 14, 1945, in Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan, Shirley lived a full and joyful life surrounded by family and friends who cherished her kind spirit and warm heart. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, whose compassion and laughter touched everyone she met.
Shirley had a zest for life and a competitive spirit that shone through her love of golfing and curling. She enjoyed camping, especially when it meant spending time with family and friends, sharing stories around the fire and creating lasting memories.
Together with her husband Willie, she spent many years working side by side growing their business Hooper's North American.
Her greatest pride was her family. Shirley’s home was always open, filled with love, laughter, and the aroma of her delicious home cooking. She was a guiding light—steady, wise, and endlessly supportive.
Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband Willie Hooper and son Tim Hooper. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Doreen Jackson; daughter Jean Benoit (Mick); son Dean Hooper (Jenee); grandchildren Tyler Benoit (Claudia), Jack Hooper, and Daniel Hooper; great-grandchild Caine Benoit; and many extended family members.
Shirley leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
