Sainbileg “Sena” Buudai, 57, of Calgary, AB, passed away on June 14, 2026, in Calgary, AB.
Sena was born in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on April 23, 1969. He went to high school at Russian School No. 14 and graduated in 1987. He went on to earn a degree in dentistry from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana and the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences.
He worked as a dentist in Mongolia for 7 years. He worked as a dental assistant in the United States and Canada for 5 years and 7 years respectively. He worked as a lab manager in Canada for 7 years.
He enjoyed hiking, being outdoors, cooking for his family, watching sports, and traveling. Throughout his career, he received numerous accolades and was highly respected by his peers.
Sena lived a life defined by quiet sacrifice and boundless kindness. He consistently put the needs of others before his own, working tirelessly to ensure his family had the best life possible. He leaves behind a legacy of helping those in need and ensuring the well-being of his loved ones.
Sena is survived by his wife, two sons, mom, younger brother, and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his dad, and brothers.
A Visitation will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 St. NE, Calgary, AB) on June 21, 2026, from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. A Private Interment will follow at a later date at Rockyview Garden of Peace.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to his family and friends, the Calgary Mongolian community, Family Braces, EPFC Corp, and everybody that has generously donated to his Memorial Service.
