Ronald “Ron” Joseph Meunier

Ronald “Ron” Joseph Meunier was born on April 27, 1952, to Marguerite and George Meunier. He is survived by his sisters Claire Emmerson, Dorine Larson Elaine Bice and brother Fred Meunier.

Ron was a devoted father and grandfather who found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. He leaves behind his children Tèri, Déric, and Jean-Marc, and his cherished grandchildren Daxton, Élise, West, Camille, Jones, and Freya, who will forever remember his guidance, humour, and unwavering support.

A respected and well-loved member of the community, Ron dedicated many years as a high school physical education teacher and volleyball coach. He positively influenced generations of students, teaching not only fitness and teamwork, but also discipline, confidence, and sportsmanship. He led with quiet strength, fairness, and genuine care.

Ron passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at the age of 73. He will be remembered for his kindness, integrity, and the lasting impact he made on his family, students, colleagues, and community. He will be deeply missed.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 24, at 10:30 a.m. at Église Ste. Anne in Falher, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories (ASANT).
