Randy Glenn Rangen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Rangen who passed away peacefully at home in Calgary on Feb 7th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a 19-month battle with that bastard, cancer.

Randy was a devoted husband, father, and passionate Harley Davidson enthusiast.  Whether it be 2 wheels or 18 wheels, Randy spent countless miles on the open road, finding joy in the rumble of the engines and the friendships he gained along the way.  Randy will be deeply missed for his dry (and sometimes off colour) sense of humour that always kept you guessing. Randy was a career driven man who prioritized providing for his family. He covered many miles in the driver’s seat of his truck (preferably a Kenworth) just “going” down the road.” 

Randy is survived by his wife Susan;  Son, Jesse Rangen; Son, Joel (Codie-Leigh) Rangen; Daughter, Charissa (Nick) Lemay; Stepson, William (Shila) Shipley; Stepdaughter, Sarah Shipley; Stepdaughter, Alexis Fisher; 7 Grandchildren: Aleah & Aubrey Rangen, Kinsley & Lainey Rangen, Ryker & Kylie Lemay, and Elijah Shipley; Dad, Glenn Rangen; Brother, Eldon (Debbie) Rangen and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family who meant so much to him. 

A formal funeral is not being planned, but a celebration of life will be held in the summer – including a ride along some of his favourite twisty roads. Please reach out to the family for details.
