Patty Lee Fex

In loving memory of our mother, Patty Lee Fex, who passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023.

She was the devoted wife of Drake and loving mother of Lindsey and Kenny. Patty will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Patty was born on November 29, 1955, to Violet and Kenneth McLachlan in Calgary, Alberta. Patty grew up in the Ogden area where she made many lifelong friends. She graduated from Ernest Manning High School in Calgary, Alberta. In 1991, she met the love of her life, Drake Foley. They spent the last 32 years together by each other's side.

Drake and Patty enjoyed many road trips, summer vacations camping, and traveling on the motorcycle. When Patty had her children, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Patty excelled at propping up members of her family and friends, supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was family or a friend going through difficulty, she made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

Patty was passionate about her pets, horses, and gardening and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her Gazebo outside. We will miss her greatly. Our mother was a kind, caring, and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. Patty was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Growing up, Patty was always there for us, whether we needed someone to talk to or just a shoulder to cry on. She was a woman of strong values, and she instilled in us the importance of family, hard work, and doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to.

Patty is survived by her husband, two children, and three grandchildren, Taylor Johnson, Harlow Johnson, and Halley Johnson; by her loving sister Terry McLachlan; and numerous relatives and close friends.

Mother, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
