We sadly announce the passing of Michel Langevin, treasured and beloved husband of Donna. Michel passed unexpectedly at the Calgary Rockyview Hospital following a brief period of illness.
Michel was a devoted husband, and he and Donna were an extremely happy couple throughout their 23 years as husband and wife. Michel was Mom’s rock when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and he spent every day at her side, without fail.
Michel was a long-time and respected employee of Lafarge Canada. He took great pride in the crew he led in so many of Calgary’s construction projects.
Born into a large Quebec family, Michel greatly missed those far away back home. He had no children of his own, but dearly loved spending time nearby with his niece Jackie, her husband, Greg, and his great-nephews. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors immensely. Michel and Mom loved to travel, but their favorite close-to-home holidays were often spent a bit south of Calgary, at the gracious hospitality of Jackie.
Although no service will be held, we invite others to post their memories, and any pictures they would like to share. We would also like to say thank you to Michel’s neighbors, friends and medical staff, for all their kindness and care.
