Michael "Mike" Szlitkus

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart to announce the passing of Mike Szlitkus. He was aged 75 and passed away in his sleep on November 26, 2025 at his residence.
He was born in Redruth, Cornwall to Jan and Romaine. Mike is survived by his brother, and one sister-in-law: David Szlitkus and Nicky Szlitkus of Cornwall. Also, he has one niece and three nephews, Gemma, Stephan, Janek and Jozef, and six cousins. Mike left Cornwall to become a structural draftsman in Canada in the late seventies, where he eventually met his wife Dawn, (marriage dissolved). His passions were traveling, fishing, hiking, and making things with his hands. He loved driving into the countryside with his bestie, Colleen.

A celebration of life will be Held at the Horton Royal Canadian Legion - Centennial Calgary Branch 285 (9202 Horton Rd SW, Calgary, AB), on Thursday, December 18, 2025 between the hours of 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
