With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Michael Camac (Mike) on February 8, 2024, at the age of 46. He passed away peacefully with family by his side.
Taken from this world way too early, Mike will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mike is survived by his three loving children, Emily, Breanna, and Evan Camac; and his devoted parents, Tom Camac, Barb, and Norm Buckley. He is forever remembered by his sister, Crystal Pangilinan (Ian); nephews Ethan, Lucas and Nate; and brother Kori Buckley. Mike also leaves behind his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and all his dear friends.
Mike's childhood was filled with love, laughter, and plenty of activity. His passions were soccer, baseball, bowling, and football. He was so proud of his first job as a "Flyer Force" employee. Spending time in Nipawin, SK, with his grandparents was always something he treasured.
Mike's passion in life was his family, especially his children. His love and gratitude for them was only compounded by his pride and joy for his children. Mike treasured any opportunity given to create a positive, lasting memory with his family.
Mike was a dedicated San Francisco 49ers football fan—he cheered on countless games and was able to attend a victorious game last year with his son, mom and Norm.
While living with his dad, Mike loved to "tinker," finding countless projects for the two of them to keep busy. Whether it was the coveted "Golden Tee" or simply puttering around in the garage, they always found something to do.
Mike loved camping in his trailer, "Jay"; the quiet and solitude of the outdoors gave him such comfort. He was a true grill master, taking any opportunity to barbecue.
Mike worked for Allmar Inc., where he displayed dedication to his company and career.
Mike was known for his contagious laugh, heart-warming smile, and silent, caring, sensitive soul. He loved deeply and always protected his heart.
Mike's request was for his devoted family and friends to live life to the fullest, striving for health and happiness. Michael, you were a true warrior, a maverick. May you find your eternal peace.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to NP Barb Aspinall at South Campus Hospital for her care and compassion throughout Mike's medical journey; a special thank you to Unit 39 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital for Mike's care.
If friends desire, a memorial donation may be made directly to the Canadian Liver Foundation at www.liver.ca. In lieu of flowers, a tree may be planted in memory of Mike.
