Maxine Carol Shearlaw-Harker

On July 23, 2024, Maxine passed away in Calgary, after a difficult battle with ALS. She had family and friends travel the journey closely by her side.

Maxine was born on October 05, 1955, and was the youngest of 4 children, born to Emily (nee Guss) and Douglas Shearlaw of Drumheller. Maxine was predeceased by her husband, Cameron J. Harker and her parents. 

Our family is grateful to each of the family members and friends as well as to the many doctors, nurses and administrations staff at the ALS Clinic. The healthcare workers that assisted with her home care enabled her to stay with family a little longer and the hospice staff were prudent with her comfort and care.

 A tribute for Maxine was held in her home on October 05, 2024.  The number of family and friends that attended was a true measure of the love and support that Maxine’s circle included.
