Margery 'Nana' (Dafoe) Bennett

Margery ‘Nana’ Bennett (nee Dafoe) born April 18,1934 to Margaret and Keith Dafoe in Port Arthur, ON (Thunder Bay), passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, October 28, 2024, in her home at Age Care Seton, Calgary, Alberta. 

She was predeceased by her husband Thomas (Tom), baby Gregory, and son Glenn.  She leaves behind her daughter Karen (Ken) Chapman. She was loved and adored by her grand and great grandchildren; grandson Kendall (Trena) Chapman, great-granddaughter Genevieve, granddaughter Kimberly (Edward) Forest, great-granddaughter Jade.  Glenn’s daughters Lindsay (Byron) Thelner and Dr. Stephanie Gill (Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald). 

Nana will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her care team at Age Care Seton.  We would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff on the 4th Floor East wing of Age Care Seton, for their compassionate care and friendship given to Nana.  We would also like to thank Pastor Mark and Michelle Ruf for their continued friendship and spiritual care.  Nana is at peace and has been reunited with her boys.
