Linda Marie McCaffrey

Linda McCaffrey, surrounded by family, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the South Health Campus Hospital (Calgary) following complications from surgery. She was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta but lived most of her life in Calgary where she attended Bishop Grandin High School and spent many years presiding over the community of Queensland. Linda was a generous soul who never let her own struggles interrupt her passion for helping others who may have been down on their luck. She often struggled with failing health and pain so it is now we can take comfort in knowing that she can rest peacefully and be reunited with her beloved Mother and Father in heaven.

Linda was employed for many years as a director in the trade show business and volunteered with multiple organizations throughout her life. In the summer months, Linda loved camping, barbeques, social gatherings, and hot days on the beach. In the fall, she was an avid Stampeders football fan and, in the winter, would love to watch Flames games, curling, and discuss world events.

Linda is survived by; her two sons, Ryan Schreurs, and Robby Schreurs (Sandra); her daughter Shannon (nee Schreurs) Heinrich (Calen); two loving grandchildren, Oliver and Levi Heinrich; her brothers Bill (Janice), Don, Tom (Nicki) and Doug (Danielle); and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Linda was predeceased by her parents Tom and Patricia (nee Traynor) McCaffrey and her sisters-in-law Barbara Fowlow and Anne McCaffrey (nee Schnitzer)

The family of Linda would also like to thank the Nursing staff and the Doctors at the South Health Campus for their tireless support and effort in helping Linda stay comfortable during this difficult time.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard's Parish (8944 Elbow Dr. SW) on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. 

Rest easy Linda, we love you and will forever miss you.
