Linda LeClaire, age 69, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on April 2, 2026.
Born in Ponoka, Alberta, February 20, 1957. Linda brought joy and laughter wherever she went. She was known for her infectious belly laughs and wonderful sense of humour and stories that could light up any room. She loved to party and was always the life of the party, making every gathering more fun just by being there.
Linda was very artistic and painted many beautiful pictures, including ones of her own cats as well as animal portraits for her friends—horses, dogs, and cats.
Linda worked extensively in the oil and gas industry with various companies and environmental project management jobs.
Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roger Leader, her mother Terry Short and sisters Corinne and Ruth.
She is survived by her brother Bob Short (Lorelie), her sisters Barb Freeborn (Bill Freeborn) and Norma Blais, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (5502 - 2nd Street SW, Calgary, Alberta) on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will follow at Riverbend Station Pub (40 Riverglen Drive SE, Calgary, Alberta) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
