It is with immense sadness we announce the passing of Lee Wilson of Calgary, AB.
Lee was a kind, joyful, generous, and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was truly a beautiful person both inside and out.
Lee dedicated more than 35 years to her career at The City of Calgary. She loved working and continued education, working until the age of 71 and taking U of C courses well into her 60’s.
Outside of work and school, Lee enjoyed world travel, playing mini golf, visiting Heritage Park, reading, and spending time with her loved ones, to name but a few of her interests. Lee’s true passion was her family. Lee’s love of her family was unconditional and unwavering.
Grieving the loss of Lee is her devoted husband of more than 34 years, John, as well as her daughter, Teresa (Lyndon), son Stan (Michele), grandchildren Brooklyn and Nolan, sister Darlene, and seven nieces / nephews.
Lee will be loved forever and deeply missed. We feel so lucky and grateful to have had her in our lives and will cherish the many memories made.
Per Lee’s wishes, a service will not be held. Lee’s family will hold a private celebration of Lee’s life at a later date.
If desired, donations may be made in memory / honour of Lee to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary (www.alzheimercalgary.ca).
