Laurine passed away peacefully at Millrise Senior's Village in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 85 years old.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerry (2008), her son Bradley (1995) and infant daughter Diane (1962), and her parents Bert and Alda, her brothers Glen, Bernie and sister Laura.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons Darrell (Muriel), and Brent, and her grandsons Ryan and David, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Laurine was born in Sugden, Alberta. Her family were farmers. She helped on the family farm growing up. She enjoyed going to dances where she met her husband, Gerry. They married in 1958. She and Gerry eventually settled in Edmonton, Alberta, where they raised their family.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother. She was also a great sister and Aunt. She worked as a dietician assistant at Aberhart Hospital in Edmonton, after her children were older. She was a fantastic cook. She enjoyed fishing and camping. There are many happy memories that her sons and grandsons and her daughter-in-law Muriel will remember for years to come.
Laurine will be laid to rest in Edmonton at Westlawn Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
