Larry Gordon Hickson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Gordon Hickson, who peacefully passed away on April 27, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta.

He is survived by his loving son, David, and his cherished granddaughter, Hannah.

His sister Sherry and his niece Andrea and beloved nephew Adam.

Larry was born in Brampton, Ontario, in 1941 to Stanley and Beatrice. He spent much of his life in Brampton, where he worked as a printer by trade. After retiring, he moved to Wasaga Beach, Ontario. In 2005, he relocated to Calgary, Alberta, to be closer to his son and granddaughter, whom he loved dearly and was incredibly proud of.

Larry made many friends in Calgary and held a special place in the hearts of those closest to him. He enjoyed playing poker and sharing a few beers with his good friend Dave and Bob, no doubt continuing those moments together in spirit.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Southwood Hospice for their compassionate care. Larry’s charm never faded, as he continued to bring smiles to the nurses and aides. Your kindness is deeply appreciated.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
