Kenneth "Ken" Gordon Coulson

Kenneth (Ken) Gordon Coulson passed away peacefully on August 21, 2021 in Calgary, Alberta, the province of his birth.

Ken spent most of his life in Richmond, British Columbia where he raised his family. Ken loved Richmond, and often said it was the best place in the world to live. He moved back to Alberta (Calgary) in February of 2020. As a young child, he took an interest in the wonders of flight and pursued this passion by joining the Air Force in 1948, at the age of 18. Ken was trained as an aircraft maintenance engineer in the Royal Canadian Air Force and he eventually left the military to ply his trade with Canadian Pacific Airlines in Vancouver, where he worked until he retired in 1986. A gifted mechanic, he was renowned for successfully repairing anything and everything! Ken's work in the aviation business took him to many places throughout the world and he simply loved aviation.

Ken is survived by Nancy, his wife of 56 years; his sons Kerry, Jim, (Nancy), and Craig; and his daughters Brenda Savage (Floyd) and Lisa Linton (Greg). He is also survived by his grandchildren Chantelle Coulson, Danielle Coulson, Leah Coulson, Azura Willkomm-Linton and Tyler Coulson.
