Ken Richardson

Surrounded by the love of his family and the warmth of the sun on the first day of spring, Ken passed on Thursday, March 20, 2025, after a short journey with cancer.

Ken leaves behind his wife, Janice, sons and daughters-in-law, Blair and Ashley, Colin and Alyssa; his very best dog pal, Jax; his siblings Betty Jean (Randy) and Jim (Vivianne), along with other family members and friends.

Born and raised in Hinton, AB, Ken was never happier than when he was enjoying the majesty of western Canada's mountains and lakes. Whether he was camping, golfing, enjoying a campfire, skiing, hiking, biking, fishing or towing kids behind the boat on Mara Lake, he always had a grin on his face and contentment in his heart. Recently as a snowbird, Ken worked at improving his golf scores, his pickleball skills and he had rediscovered his love of music, spending his time playing the saxophone and guitar.

To honour Ken's wishes, commemorative services will be held privately. However, his family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those involved in his health care and to his family and friends for all their love and support.
