Keith LaBossiere Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Keith La Bossiere announces his sudden passing from a cardiac episode on May 10, 2024.

Keith's vibrant spirit touched countless lives. As a steadfast business owner in the billiard and yard maintenance industries, as well as his time spent working in construction, Keith had a special connection with his colleagues and clientele that spanned many, many years. He loved spending time in BC and on his beloved "pool table run", making countless friends along the way.

Very fast to make friends, he need only be in one's presence for a short time and it felt like you had been friends for life. He was a down to earth kind of guy with no pretenses.

Keith was the life of the party with an infectious laughter that lit up any room. He loved muscle cars and 80s rock music, chatting around a fire and wearing funny t-shirts. His ability to connect with people of all ages and walks of life was unparalleled.

While fiercely loving his family, his heart held a special place for his children’s friends, who affectionately called him Poppa Keith. He also cherished forming meaningful relationships with seniors in his community and was always there to support the underdog. Known for his generosity, he would give the shirt off his back to help those in need.

Keith was grateful for the love of his family and friends and embraced everyone he met with warmth and kindness (unless you were a poor driver).

Not perfect, but perfectly imperfect to us.

Left to mourn his passing but also to celebrate his life and the man he was, are his wife Anna-Marie, their two children Brayden La Bossiere (Carly) and Briana Hamilton (Nik) and their treasured grandson Vernon. He is also survived by his parents John La Bossiere and Bonnie Erickson and his brother Kevin La Bossiere (Carmen).

He also leaves behind other cherished family, including his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins....and countless friends, all of whom he loved wholeheartedly.

He was predeceased by his sister, Kathy, in 1999.

Though Keith may be gone, his spirit will forever live in the hearts of those he loved.

A Celebration of Keith's Life will be held on June 1, 2024, 1-4 pm at the Kilt and Caber Ale House in McKenzie Towne, Calgary.
