Katalin Krolik of Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, in Calgary.
She completed Grade 12 and later earned a management degree. One of her greatest accomplishments was moving to Canada and building a life filled with resilience, strength, and gratitude. After courageously overcoming cancer 13 years ago, Katalin embraced life to the fullest and remained an inspiration to all who knew her.
Katalin had a deep love of travel and treasured visits to Hungary, Banff, Lake Louise, Victoria Island, and the Calgary Tower. One of her fondest memories was traveling to Victoria and visiting the beautiful Butchart Gardens. She also enjoyed church gatherings and community get-togethers.
She had a love for the colour purple, lilacs, salmon, Hungarian cuisine, and Italian food.
Katalin will be lovingly remembered by her children Joe Juhasz of Hungary, Jacint Juhasz and spouse Ilona Juhasz of Claresholm, Alberta. She was a proud grandmother to Elizabeth Juhasz of Claresholm, Dominic Juhasz and Nicholas Juhasz of Stettler, Alberta, and Nora Juhasz of Hungary. She is also survived by her siblings Szakolci Terez, Szakolci Istvan, Szakolci Janos, and Szakolci Zoltan, all of Hungary.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at South Health Campus Hospital for their care and compassion.
A service announcement will be made at a later date.
Katalin will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
