It is with broken hearts that the family of Joshua Joseph Cochrane-Abar announce his sudden passing at home on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the age of 29.
Adored father of William and Charlotte Cochrane-Kruse; loving friend to their mother Courtney Kruse. Beloved son of Ronald Abar and Ginger Cochrane. Cherished brother of Cole Cochrane-Abar (Juli Wilson) and loving uncle to Freya and Solomon. Loving grandson to Frank and Gloria Abar, as well as Patricia Tait and Dawson Emerson. Fondly remembered by his uncles Allan and Peter Cochrane, and by his many other relatives and friends. Many of whom Joshua formed bonds so strong that they were much more to him than mere friends. To Josh they are “brothers” (Jordan and Lance Chevrette, Andrew Stringer, Matt and Clayton Goombridge, Daniel and Curtis Dixon and Tyler McGinnis).
Joshua’s greatest joy in life was his children; he lit up when with them or speaking about them. As often as possible, he loved to take them to the country, find a river and cast some rods with William, or just look for minnows in the water with little Charlotte. His favorite pastime was fishing though! He was completely in his element when in nature.
His smile and laughter would brighten up any room so that everyone knew the fun had just arrived and something exciting was about to happen! He made friends easily with his outgoing nature and endless energy. He was not shy in the least! If someone was having a bad day, he made it his mission to make them smile...making someone else smile made his day better.
Joshua was super talented and artistic (a characteristic handed down from Grandpa Frank). He loved to improve hip hop...and he was wicked awesome at it!!! He could draw really well too, but he chose to follow other fields; mechanics (like his Dad and Grandfather) and try on different hats in order to learn new things (like his Mom). Joshua was always willing to lend a hand. He was super smart, gentle, kind and sensitive. He overflowed with love.
May our beautiful Josh go from here and find peace and love in the light, may he watch over his children and comfort us in our dreams and know that he is loved so much no words can express. Let Josh know how grateful we are to have spent what little time we had with him. Through the good, the tough and all the GREAT times. Thank you Joshua for all the wonderful memories, laughs, the character, the spice, and the excitement you brought into all our lives. It was our greatest pleasure and pride that we got to be your Mom, your Dad, your brother. You left too soon, but...we will not say goodbye instead we will say...until we meet again.
