John Graeme Scott

John Graeme Scott passed away on July 4, 2024, at the  Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta.

He was predeceased by his father, Jack Scott, and his brother, Michael Scott, both of Ottawa, ON. John is survived by his children, Jade, Kimberly (Steve), and Ian (Ivona), and his grandchildren, Alex, Zora, Karlo, and Mila, his sister Caroline Schwartz of Ottawa, and several nieces and nephews.

John was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on August 29, 1951. His family moved to Canada when John was young, and he spent most of his childhood in Ottawa. He was well known for his many years of work in the oilfields of Alberta and Saskatchewan. John was passionate about riding his Harley and took trips to Sturgis and across Canada with family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing his guitar, jamming with friends, and scooter rides through the Foothills.

In his later years, John resided in Black Diamond, where he formed many friendships. His infectious laugh, mischievous sense of humor and kind heart will long be remembered, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
