It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jessie Kathleen Keeley. She passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at the age of 83 at the Oilfields Hospital, Diamond Valley, AB
Jessie was born August 29, 1941, in Point de Bute, New Brunswick to her loving parents Leslie and Minnie Cook. She was the cherished only daughter and youngest of their 5 children.
Jessie will be dearly missed by her children: Kimberly (Kevin), Jeff, Lance (Debbie), Kelly (Steve), Kristine (Allan), Paul (Sarah). She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Justin and Jessica, Haylee, Jena, Maxwell, Kelsey and Cassandra, Josh and Alexander, Hayley, Amy and Leah. As well as her great grandchildren: Claire and Tori. Along with many nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Minnie Cook, and her brothers Jasper Cook, Thayer Cook, Malcolm Cook and Stan Cook.
Jessie lived a full and meaningful life rooted in love and family. Her warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jessie’s loving nature and giving spirit were unmatched. She truly loved her neighbors as herself, and was an example to all those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire acts of compassion and kindness for generations to come.
She was a wonderful and loving daughter, sister, wife, friend and most of all mother to her children.
Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a woman whose gentle nature and kindness touched so many lives.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion (121 Sunset Blvd East, Diamond Valley, AB) on June 28, 2025, from noon - 4pm. Program will begin at 12:30pm.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to the STARS air ambulance. This was a cause that Jessie believed in and supported for many years.
