Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James (Jim) Usher Garland, on Thursday, July 27, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born on Friday, February 3, 1939, in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.

Jim was predeceased by his son, Shane, parents, Herman and Florence Garland and his brother-in-law, Paul  . Jim is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Sharon; children, Michele, Darcy, bonus kids, Deryk, Dahna and Corie; his 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; numerous stepchildren and step grandchildren and his sisters, Madelean and Judy.

Jim was a welder for Canadian Western Natural Gas now called ATCO. He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, and watching the wildlife; he always made friends with the wild foals, feeding them carrots; every year a new one.
