Lovingly known to many as "Cowboy," Gregory Clark Dustan passed peacefully near Raymond, Alberta on December 29, 2021.
Greg was born in Scarborough, Ontario on October 19, 1961. He played hockey and loved the outdoors while growing up: fishing, horseback riding and dirt biking often.
A country boy at heart, Greg put down roots on a farm (near Raymond, in southern Alberta) when he was a young adult. There, he raised his four kids Travis (Valentina), Shanna (Jhomar), Tyler (Meredith), and Shane (Caleigh), alongside their beautiful mom Jeana. The spirit of the prairies embodied Greg and he taught his kids the farm way of life: herding cattle, calving, milking cows, raising chickens and pigs, and growing crops together. Greg enjoyed dirt biking, riding horses, fishing, camping, and gardening alongside his family. Greg was also passionate about crafting with leather, woodworking, breeding and training dogs. He loved and cared for all creatures big and small, including pet cats, dogs, and horses over the years.
Greg is predeceased by his loving parents Anne and Bill Dustan of Calgary, Alberta, who always enjoyed visiting and lending a hand while "camping out" in their motorhome at the farm. Greg will be dearly missed by his siblings Will (Bev), Kathy, and Geoff, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws, especially Jeana's parents "Ma" & "Pa" (Gladine & Ed Herrera) of Calgary, Alberta.
Greg was so proud of all his kids. He'll live on through them and his beloved grandkids Makayla, Lydia, Cassius, and Denver, who adored their "Pa-G." He'll be watching over as they "shoot, rope & ride."
A celebration of life will be held outdoors in the springtime.
In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to The Lethbridge and District Humane Society (403) 320-8991.
