George Jr. Allistar Murphy

George Jr. Allistar Murphy passed away October 31, 2024 at Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary Alberta at the age of 58. He fought hard with many chronic illnesses but was called home to rest and he will be reunited with his mother Margaret Alice Murphy (Grady) and his father George Ambrose Murphy as well as his beloved brother John Ashley who all preceded him in death.

George was a very friendly and big hearted man that touched many peoples lives over the years. In George's younger days he enjoyed fixing all kinds of things and enjoyed travelling later he worked at a wood shop for many years where he met his common-law partner in which he leaves behind Jacqueline Wood and his two children, son Devon Murphy (Drew) and his daughter Hannah Murphy. He then became a truck driver to provide for his family where they settled down in Crossfield Alberta and bought his first home. George also leaves behind his two sisters Debra-Lynn MacDonald (Phillip) and Donna-Lee Edlin (Wes) and his nieces Erica, Lindsey and nephew Rory in which he loved dearly and talked about all the time. And many other Aunts and Uncles, cousins, great niece, nephews and other precious family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for George in the summer back home in Nova Scotia, details to follow.
