It is with great sadness that the family of Gay Lynn Bull announces her passing on October 23, 2025, at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Gay was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, to William and Belle Brewin, and was raised in Caron, Saskatchewan. She later settled in Calgary, Alberta, where she raised her two sons and built a life centered around family, hard work, and generosity.
She loved Christmas baking and spending time with family and friends. Her kindness showed in a thousand quiet ways — like buying baby clothes long before her first grandchild arrived, just because she wanted to be ready to give.
Gay was known for her enormous heart. She was the kind of person who would give you her last dollar, her last ounce of energy, or her last bit of time, if it meant helping someone else.
Above all else, Gay loved being a mother and grandmother. Her grandson, Grayson, was her greatest joy. She cherished their lunch outings and trips to the Dollarstore together, moments that reflected the love and thoughtfulness she carried through every part of her life.
Gay will be remembered for her compassion, her willingness to help others even at her own expense, and her strength in the face of life’s challenges.
She is survived by her sons Trevor and Bradley Bull; her grandson Grayson; and her sisters Linda, Shirley, and Karen. She was predeceased by her parents William and Belle Brewin; her siblings Patricia, Alan, and Diane; and her former husband, Nickolas Bull.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
