Gail Violet Hazelton

Gail Hazelton departed her loving family on Aug 23, 2021. She was born in Calgary to Katherine & Leigh Lackey on Oct 16, 1953.  Gail married Wayne Hazelton on Aug 7, 1971 in Orangeville, Ontario.

She worked for many years as an administrative assistant and was known for her kind demeanor and amazing organizational skills. Always willing to help family and friends, Gail and Wayne held an open-door policy – everyone was welcome, especially for the holidays. She enjoyed spending time with friends, playing cards & board games, and volunteering. Her favorite time being spent with family.

Gail is survived by her daughter Melody; son-in-law Josh; granddaughter Bronwyn; her brother Robert, his wife Bonny, and their son James. She loved spending her time with Bronwyn and James and cherished those moments. Gail is preceded in death by her parents Katherine and Leigh, and her husband Wayne. 

Funeral services and burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, Oct 16, 2021, at Queen’s Park Cemetery with David R. B. Pekrul officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to Calgary's Kerby Centre can be made in Gail’s name.
