Eric Keddie

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Keddie on Monday, September 16, 2024, suddenly at home, at the age of 58.

Eric was a kind and gentle man. He loved animals, jokes (the cornier the better) and most of all dinosaurs. He would often go hunting for dinosaur bones in nearby creeks and loved his visits to the museum in Drumheller.

Eric moved from Guelph, Ontario to Calgary, Alberta many years ago. He was incredibly fortunate to get connected with New Age Services Inc. (NAS) 17 years ago. The staff at NAS became his Alberta family. They provided him with care, friendship and a ‘forever home’.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beverley and Philip Keddie, both of Guelph. He is survived by his stepmother Jackie Wolfe-Keddie long of Guelph, ON and now living in  Fredericton, NB and his sister Susan Keddie, her husband Richard Vorder Bruegge and their two daughters, Tanya and Charlotte, of whom Eric was very proud, all of Fredericksburg VA.

A Celebration of Eric’s Life will be held at New Age Services Inc (3920 29 St NE) on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 3:30 p.m.

If you are so inclined, a donation to New Age Services Inc. of Calgary, so that they may continue to provide support to adults with cognitive challenges, would be appreciated. A memorial bench will be placed at NAS in Eric’s honor.
