Elsie Boothman Obituary

Elsie Marie Boothman passed peacefully in her sleep on January 22, 2020.

Having found her soulmate at the age of 16 years, Elsie lived a full and blessed life with William Bruce Boothman. Together they welcomed their only daughter, Beverley-Anne. Many years later, they welcomed their two grandchildren, Daniel and Michelle, and their very small but close family was complete.

Elsie and William enjoyed 66 years of marriage until his passing on February 6, 2006. It shook us all to the core, but we came together as always.

Elsie resided with her daughter, Beverley, and granddaughter Michelle. On November 5, 2014, Beverley’s death was devastating for the family but Elsie continued to live with her granddaughter Michelle and son-in-law Garry Lietz. Later in her life, Elsie settled at a full care senior center to receive the level of care that she needed.

Elsie is survived by her grandson Daniel and granddaughter Michelle, as well as son-in-law Garry Lietz. She was predeceased by her parents Marion and Fred Clenchy, brothers Freddie and Doug Clenchy, her beloved husband William Bruce, and cherished daughter Beverley-Anne.

We would like to have a small gathering of friends and family, but the date and location are not available at this time. We will be updating for all by the beginning of next week.

If you wish to make a donation to Elsie’s favorite charity, please make it out to any non-kill animal rescue organization or shelter.

The family wishes to thank Nikita of Simply Cremations for their kindness and ease in which all was handled. Thank you.
