Elmour Buck Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce that Elmour Buck, "Pops" passed away on December 24, 2021.  Elmour came into our lives in 1995 and became our Pops when he and our Mom (Donna Buck) married in 1999.

Predeceased by his loving wife, Donna, and his stepson (our brother), Wayne Campbell in February 2021.

Elmour was born December 2, 1948, in Brooks, Alberta to George & Mary Buck, both deceased. He leaves behind his sister Marlene Lamson, brothers Earl and Byron Buck, along with their families.

Pops also leaves behind two stepdaughters, Dana Roy (Greg) and Beverly Chalk. He was Grandpa to four granddaughters and one grandson who loved him dearly and great-grandpa to seven who loved him and will miss him so very much.

All the grandkids and great-grandkids have wonderful memories of Gramps.

It always brought tears to his eyes when he talked about how happy and proud he was that we welcomed him into our family, and how we treated him as though he belonged; which he did, and always will.

Camping by far was always the most fun!  He always had to have a special "camping hat".  He'd dig out whatever he could find and build himself a special hat from twigs, feathers, and what not to wear for the weekend. He and mom enjoyed their times at the legion with their good friends, having some wobbly pops, as well as partaking in the meat draw.  Elmour was a social guy, never shy to speak to anyone, always liked to tell a story or two, and always ready with a hearty laugh. He was a long-time truck driver and had many stories to tell, to anyone that would listen.

This past year, without our mom, was so very hard for him, he lost his laughter. We take comfort in knowing that he left on his own terms and spent Christmas with his love. We're sure he has found his laughter once again.

We trust and take comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and that Pops, Mom, and Wayne are watching over us, guiding us with love & laughter, and probably enjoying a good game of marbles!

At Elmour’s request, there will be no service. The family will hold a Celebration of Life in the Summer of 2022. At that time, his ashes will be spread along with his wife Donna’s and his Stepson’s Wayne.
