Earl Douglas King

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Earl Douglas King at the age of 75. 

Earl was born in Calgary, Alberta to Glen and Eileen King. Earl is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Julie, stepson Kelly (Dawn) grandchildren Shael and Keely. Stepdaughter Kary. Brother Arnold (Eva), nieces Jamie, Patricia and Corrine and families. Sister-in-law Wendy, Michael (Kelly), Kennedy (Logan, Margot), Connor (Catherine), Kari-Ann (David), Sarah (Phil), Alyson (Leah), Seamus (Kaleigh), Brandi-Jane (Phil), Emma, Jennifer and Wyatt.  

Earl was predeceased by his parents Glen and Eileen and his great nephew Glen.  

Earl was a big man with a big heart. Earl was a loving family man and enjoyed nothing more than a family get together. He was an avid enthusiast of all things sports. Earl enjoyed many sporting events with his lifelong best buddy Robert Bates (Betty).  

Earl was a 30-year member of the Calgary real estate board. Before real estate Earl had various careers ranging from brick laying, selling insurance to driving a taxi.  

 Earl was kind and generous to everyone he encountered in life. He touched many lives and hearts along life’s way.  

The family would like to thank the first responders and everyone who has provided such amazing support through this very difficult time. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined.  

God grant me the serenity
