Dr. Steven Rempel

It is with deepest regret that we announce the passing of Steven Rempel on August 11, 2025, at the age of 46, due to cancer. 

Steven was a beloved husband, dad, son, brother, in-law, uncle, cousin, nephew, friend, and colleague. He will be remembered for his kind, generous, and engaging manner, as well as his skills, knowledge, and professionalism.

Steven was born in Regina to Beth and Reuben Rempel, and welcomed by his sister Jana. His keen academic talent and his ability to work with his hands led to a perfect fit in dentistry, his chosen career. 

After graduating from The College of Dentistry in Saskatoon, in 2003, Steven worked at Cornerstone Family Dentistry in Peterborough, Ontario, for six years before coming back west and briefly taking a position at Courtyard Dental in Medicine Hat. That is where he met artist Juliana Greaves. In 2010 it was on to downtown Calgary to join what later became his practice, Method Dental.

Steven married Juliana Greaves in 2010, and together they had three bright and beautiful daughters - Fiona, Marianne, and Eloise. Steven recently referred to them as his greatest gift and legacy.

He will be greatly missed, and his memory cherished by his wife, daughters, parents, sister Jana Lewis (Mike) and children Daniel, Evan, and Avery; father-in-law Darwin Greaves (Diana); mother-in-law Donna Schmunk (Pat); sister-in-law Amanda Andrews (Adam) and nephews Caleb, Sam, and Jude; sister-in-law Emily Sorensen (Lief) and nephews Frederick and Peter; as well as extended family, friends, and colleagues.

Steven was an accomplished and humble man. He will be remembered and honoured at a Celebration of Life gathering on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Plaza Theatre, 1133 Kensington Rd NW, Calgary, AB T2N 3P4.
