Dorothy "Jean" Hostland

Jean passed away Wednesday, January 22,  2020 at the age of 88. Jean has gone to be with her beloved husband Stan of 68 years who passed away June 14, 2018 and will be greatly missed our family Judy (Bill) Foster, Deb (Cliff) Fleming, Pat (Tom) Cole, Gail McArdon, Shelly (Murray)McArdon and Sherry (Dwain) Griffith, grandmother to Brian, Boyd, Paula, Jennifer, Annette, Corrie, Deanne and Cayle,  great-grandmother to Dalton, Dakotah, Averie, Brady, Shelby, Wyatt, Carter and Ainsley.  Predeceased by son-in-law Bob, grandson Jason and great-granddaughter Maddison.  Jean was born in High River, Alberta and was the youngest of 8, the family moved to Calgary and Mom met and married Dad June 17, 1950. Mom was a great seamstress and an avid knitter, Mom and Dad spent a lot of years curling at the Winter Club in Calgary and in their retirement spent time camping, fishing and traveling to visit family. There will be a Celebration of Life for Jean & Stan on April 18, 2020 from 1 – 4pm at the Chapelhow Legion in Calgary.
