Dorothy Jeanette Talbot

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy Jeanette Talbot (Miller) on February 13, 2025, at the age of 78.

Originally from Grande Prairie, AB, daughter of the late Jacob and Doris Miller, she leaves behind her beloved husband of 60 years, Malcolm, as well as son Scott (Michelle).

She also leaves behind her brother Kenneth (Jennie), grandchildren, Ciera, Eric, Alex, Sarah, Emma, Christopher and great-grandchild Stanley. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, son-in-law, Brad, daughters-in-law Michelle and Cindy.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Douglas and David, sisters, Connie, Joan and Marlene, and children Christopher (2019) and Kristine (2021).

Dorothy had an immense love of gardening, as she would spend countless hours tending to flowers and plants, creating a vibrant sanctuary. Her gardening, much like her life, was a reflection of her nurturing spirit.

A devoted grandmother, Dorothy cherished baking with her grandchildren. Whether it was cookies, brownies or cakes. Her kitchen was filled with love, laughter and the delightful aroma of fresh baked treats. Her grandchildren will always remember those special memories.

Dorothy was also an expert at bargain hunting, and she had an eye for finding treasures, whether it was a thrift store, yard sale or clearance rack. She was a woman of faith and loved reading her daily prayers. Her smile was beautiful, and her laugh could light up any room.

She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. In her memory, we will continue to nurture our gardens, share our baked goods, hunt for the best bargains and most of all, cherish the joy and love she gave so freely.
