Donna Lyn McQueen

It is with unbearable sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, Donna Lyn McQueen.

Donna was a beautiful human being whose presence lit up every room and whose joy left an imprint on every life she touched. Her kindness, laughter, and compassion made her not only deeply loved, but truly unforgettable.

Donna is survived by her loving sister Adele, big brother Ron, and cherished niece Avery - whom she adored with all her heart. She also leaves behind her mum Norma, stepdad Michael, cousins Norma Jean and Steve and family in Scotland. Born in Scotland, Donna came to Canada at the age of two.

She grew up highland dancing, riding horses and developed a lifelong love for animals, a passion that shaped her world and the relationships she nurtured. Donna built a successful sales career in Calgary’s new home and condominium industry, where her strength, intelligence, and warmth earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Though we are devastated by her departure from this world, we take comfort in believing that Heaven must have needed her gentle soul. We know she is now reunited with her beloved father Charles who she missed dearly, her Gran and Pop, and the many animals who were blessed to be in her life.

A private Celebration of Life will be held with her closest friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Bear Valley Rescue or Moe Dog Rescue Mission - honoring her deep love for animals.

Donna’s light, laughter, and love will live on in the memories we hold and the love she gave so freely. She will be missed more than words can ever express.
