Donna Dingwall Obituary

Donna who was a ray of sunshine in the lives of anyone who knew her and those who she met and socialized with. Having a desire to maintain a cheerful attitude in an effort to help others smile, feel better and know they mattered. Donna enjoyed being active and preferred a healthy lifestyle. Survived by her sons Trenton and Matthew (Clarissa ) who, especially when she was a single parent, occupied most of her time while striving to give them best life and opportunities possible. Also survived by her siblings Diane ( Kevin), Dan ( Gail ), David ( Peggy) and their families; and her grandchildren Angus and Maisie. As well as her Husband Robert together went through this journey with Cancer and multiple surgeries and treatments which was supported with help from her son Trenton, sister Diane and particularly from her special friends Venessa, Abby, Karen, Patty and Amazing Neighbours Nelson and Carmenza, Kim and Ron and many others which shows the impact and difference Donna made in the lives of others. Originally from Windsor, Ontario and came to Calgary in her late teens and other than a short move back to Ontario has been here ever since. Donna loved to refer to herself as a princess, especially during those special inner child times and certainly felt like one too many of us often wearing her special princess dress ! Her favourite flowers were Sunflowers which usually planted anywhere she lived and chose to refer to her Cancer condition by that name to put it in more positive way. Will be remembered lovingly when we see Sunflowers. This poem describes what Donna did:

Little hugs can dry big tears,

Little candles can light darkness,

Little memories can last for years,

It's the little things that can bring happiness.
