Donna Marie Curran

Donna Marie Curran, born October 5, 1966, in Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 59 years old.

Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is lovingly remembered by her spouse, Duane Hostland, and her three daughters: Tanya Gogorenko (Austin Stene), Krista Tanner (Colin Tanner), and Amy Bennett (David Bennett). She was a proud and cherished grandmother to April, Liam Gogorenko, and Landon Segal; Mason, Lucas, and Colton Tanner; and Dominic and Jayden Bennett, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her four living siblings (Susan, Stephen, Alan, Peter), her mother and father-in-law (Darlys and Jim Hostland) along with extended family and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Donna was predeceased by her parents, Lucy and Albert Curran, two sisters and two brothers, whom she is now reunited with.

Donna was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience; Donna faced many battles with cancer throughout her life. She met each challenge with courage and determination, never losing her fighting spirit. Her perseverance and bravery were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Donna will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her strength in the face of adversity, and the warmth she shared with those around her. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren and husband, and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

As Donna would always say, “Be the best that you can be.”

A memorial service will be held at Evan J Strong Funeral home 3625 12 Street N.E. March 31, 2026, at 11am to celebrate Donna’s life. Reception to follow.
