Donald Jacob Hildebrand

On the evening of Saturday, October 19, 2024, Donald Hildebrand passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and nature at Foothills Country Hospice. Donald was 80 years old. 

Born in Winkler, Manitoba in April 1944.  Donald and his wife, Anne, were married for 61 years. They moved to Calgary in 1965, where they raised their family.

Donald had an adventurous spirit that led to a life full of new experiences, lessons, and memories to be shared with loved ones. A creative propensity was evident through his cooking, musicality, building, and painting.

He had a passion for horseback riding and cherished owning his own horses for a period of time. Many additional lives were touched through his ministries, where he loved being able to share his wisdom and faith as a teacher and confidant. 

Donald was known for his smile, twinkle in his eyes, teasing, and he felt so much joy with his family.  He will be greatly missed by his family including many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
