Denis Andre Leonil Joseph Collins

Denis Andre Leonil Joseph Collins was born in Sudbury Ontario on February 26, 1953, to Aline (Miron) and Rene Fay. He passed away unexpectedly in Calgary on March 28, 2026, one week after being diagnosed with cancer.

At nine years of age, Andre was welcomed by four new siblings and a loving stepfather when his mother married into the Collins family. Soon after, the family moved to Calgary, where Andre, his brothers and sister grew up.

Andre married Colleen Love in 1979. He was the proud father of two beautiful children, Michelle and Taylor. He became the proud grandfather of Gabrielle, Korbin, Victoria, and Oliver.

As a single man later in life, Andre found a deep sense of belonging within his community. His friends became his second family, providing a steadfast network of support and joy that sustained him throughout his final years.

Leaving to grieve Andre’s sudden departure are his children, his grandchildren, and his sister and brothers. He also leaves behind a wide circle of cousins, a community of dear friends and his special friend Kathy, who remained a significant part of his life.
