Darlene was born on August 17, 1948 in Trochu, Alberta. Her family lived in several hamlets near the railroad.
Darlene went to school in Acme for five years. The family then moved to Calgary (Forest Lawn). She finished her schooling in Valleyview and Forest Lawn High School.
Darlene had a few jobs before she found her passion which was children. She worked for twenty years at the Baker Centre and The Providence Child Development Centre. Darlene worked for five years on the Handi Bus which she loved.
In 2010, Darlene had a heart transplant; She was very happy living another fifteen years.
Darlene was always laughing and friendly to everyone, and always ready to help someone.
We miss you so much.
