Danielle Elizabeth Forsyth

Danielle (Dani) Elizabeth Forsyth, age 52, passed away in her home on Sunday, May 12, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta. Her passing, the result of suicide, leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Dani was a devoted parent to her two children, Samantha (Sam), age 18, and Alexandra (Lexi), age 16. Her children were the light of her life, and she always encouraged them to live authentically.

In addition to her wife and soulmate, Michelle, Dani is survived by her brother, Doug Forsyth, his wife Sandra, and their children, as well as their parents, Bill Forsyth and Evelyn Forsyth. She also leaves behind an extended family and several friends who will miss her deeply.

Dani's career held a particular source of pride as she embraced each phase's many challenges. Dani spent most of her career working in IT, enjoying working with the City of Lethbridge and Lethbridge Police Service. She also worked as an IT consultant with her own business and, later in life, as a marketing automation specialist. Dani and Michelle explored a path with marketing automation, helping various companies optimize their marketing.

Dani was a massive presence everywhere she went, opening her heart to all around her with empathy and compassion. She was always ready with a big hug to those who accepted it and kind words of thanks for anyone who assisted her, whether it was wait staff at a restaurant, the family doctor, or the ER staff she encountered many times over the past few years.

Dani's passing is a stark reminder of the mental health battles many face. Her family encourages open conversations about mental health and the importance of seeking help. They find solace in knowing that Dani's legacy will continue through the countless lives she touched and the positive impact she made even after her death.

All who know her will remember Dani's warmth, kindness, and love. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She now rests in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all and a reminder to love openly, be your authentic self, and be mindful of your well-being.
