Dan passed away Wednesday, Jan 1, 2025 at home in Calgary.

Beloved husband to Janis. Devoted father to Sara (Briant) and Mat. Loving Bubba to Jackson, Abby and Ethan. Youngest of five boys born to William and Grace Hines in Burlington, Ontario.

The greatest man we've ever known passed away on January 1st. Dad didn't know how to quit. He fought long and hard for the past 20 years after his stroke and is finally able to rest.

Dad met the love of his life in Grade 3 when he met our Mom, Janis. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on December 30. 

Dad was the ultimate family man. The greatest days were the days when he had his whole family around him. 

A gathering to celebrate Dad will be held in June, in the backyard that they built together.
